Potting & Encapsulation

Requiring a potting compound which could provide environmental protection to their high-powered outdoor LED lights, lighting manufacturer Venta Global selected IRS 3078 and a metering, mixing, and dispensing system to create a straightforward and repeatable process.

Bulk Tainer Logistics required a material which offered ATEX certification and high levels of environmental protection to pot their sophisticated smart monitoring device. By utilising a 2-K-DOS metering, mixing and dispensing system and a flame retardant compound Bulk Tainer Logistics was able to establish an easy, robust, and repeatable process.

London-based start-up, SafetyNet Technologies, sought a potting material to protect their innovative ‘Pieces Deep’ fishing lights from 100 bar pressures at depths of 1000m. Utilising a combination of optically clear Opti-tec 4210 and opaque IRS 3071 allowed SNTech to achieve environmental protection without sacrificing light performance.

SebaKMT, part of the Megger Group, was the world’s first owner of a preeflow eco-DUO450. For nearly ten years, this metering, mixing and dispensing system has been reliably and accurately dispensing their Wacker SilGel 612 silicone gel potting compound onto the parts for the noise measurement instruments they manufacture.
