Apacor, a medical diagnostics manufacturer, had a dispensing conundrum. They needed to accurately apply a liquid onto a glass substrate, dispensing droplets in the microlitre range in an array for their particle sampling product. Both the amount of liquid and the positioning of the droplets needed to be within some fine tolerances. They were seeking equipment that could provide a tighter tolerance compared to simple time/pressure dispensing or the jetting they tested, and one that could be calibrated for certification purposes.

Our case study explains more about the challenges Apacor were facing and their desired outcomes, alongside an explanation of what we recommended and why. Spoiler alert: they’re happy customers who have a system that does everything they need it to do and have since purchased another.
